What is QuantLogic.io?

QuantLogic.io is a standardized trading signal publication service for NQ and ES futures (and their micro counterparts MNQ and MES). We publish a portfolio of 3 complementary automated strategies (NQ Long, ES Long, NQ Short) developed over 20+ years of research. All subscribers receive identical signals at the same time — we do not provide individualized advice or manage client accounts.

Question 2

If the strategies are profitable, why share them instead of just trading them yourself?

Accepted Answer

Our portfolio includes counter-trend strategies, which benefit from having more participants trading in the same direction. Counter-trend strategies actually perform better with more volume on the same side. However, there is a capacity limit. We actively monitor whether the total contract volume from all subscribers impacts execution quality or returns, and will stop accepting new clients if capacity constraints diminish returns.

I'm new to futures trading. Is this too complicated for me?

Not at all! If you've ever bought or sold a stock, you already understand the basics. You don't need to understand contract expiration dates, rollover periods, contract specifications, or settlement procedures — QuantLogic.io handles all of that automatically. Behind the scenes, QuantLogic.io automatically trades the correct contract month, handles rollovers, and ensures all positions are closed by end of day.

How does signal delivery work?

When any of our 3 strategies generates a signal, it is published simultaneously to all active subscribers. If you have authorized trade execution through your Tradovate/NinjaTrader account, the signal is forwarded based on the contract size and settings you have configured. You maintain full control over your account parameters and can pause or disconnect at any time.

Do you manage my trading account?

No. QuantLogic.io does not have discretionary control over your account. You authorize the connection to your broker through Tradovate's official OAuth process. You independently set your contract size, risk parameters, and execution preferences. We are a signal publisher, not an account manager.

How much capital do I need to start?

Accepted Answer

We recommend the 2x maximum drawdown rule for position sizing. NQ Futures: $3,820 minimum per contract. MNQ Micro Futures: $382 minimum per contract. ES Futures: $2,424 minimum per contract. MES Micro Futures: $242 minimum per contract. These recommendations are based on portfolio max drawdown of -$1,502 (1 contract of each strategy) across 1,087 trades from 2023-2025.

What if I have a smaller account?

Start with micro contracts! MNQ starts at $382 and MES at $242 per contract. You can begin trading our portfolio signals with a smaller account. As your account grows, you can scale up to full NQ and ES contracts. Many prop firm traders start with micro contracts during their evaluation phase.

Can I use this with prop firm accounts?

Yes. All 3 QuantLogic.io strategies work with any NinjaTrader or Tradovate-connected account, including Take Profit Trader, MyFunded Futures, TradeDay, and other prop firms using these platforms. QuantLogic.io Signals ($129/mo) includes all 3 strategies plus FlatGuard protection. FlatGuard Standalone ($29/mo) provides overnight protection only for traders with their own strategy.

What are the trading hours?

QuantLogic.io Trading Schedule (Eastern Time): NQ Long & ES Long: 9:30 AM – 3:39 PM ET. NQ Short: 9:30 AM – 3:39 PM ET. All 3 strategies are always flat by 3:39 PM ET — 6 minutes before the 3:45 PM overnight margin cutoff. This means you only need day trading margin ($500 for NQ, $50 for MNQ).

The AI Trading Coach provides portfolio insights, performance analysis, and psychological support during drawdowns. It can answer questions about all 3 strategies (NQ Long, ES Long, NQ Short), explain historical performance patterns, and help you stay disciplined during losing periods. The AI Coach provides general strategy information based on published data — it does not provide individualized investment advice.

What's the difference between Tradovate and NinjaTrader?

They're the same company! NinjaTrader Group acquired Tradovate in 2022. When you open an account with either, you get access to ALL their platforms: Tradovate Web (browser-based), Tradovate Desktop & Mobile (Windows/Mac and iOS/Android), and NinjaTrader Desktop (advanced charting for Windows). One account, one login, access to everything.

Do I need to install any software to use QuantLogic.io?

No! QuantLogic.io signals are delivered automatically to your connected account. You can monitor your trades using Tradovate Web in any browser — no downloads required. If you want to use NinjaTrader Desktop for advanced features, you can, but it's completely optional.

How do I connect my Tradovate/NinjaTrader account?

Sign up for a QuantLogic.io subscription, click 'Connect Account' in your dashboard, you'll be redirected to Tradovate's official OAuth page, log in with your Tradovate credentials (we never see your password), authorize QuantLogic.io to send orders on your behalf, configure your contract size and preferences, and you're ready to receive signals. You can revoke access anytime.

Can I pause or disconnect at any time?

Accepted Answer

Yes, absolutely. You have full control: pause signals (stop new trades while keeping your account connected), disconnect account (revoke authorization instantly), cancel subscription (no questions asked, effective immediately). We do not lock you into contracts or make disconnection difficult.

Can you access or withdraw my funds?

Accepted Answer

No. Absolutely not. OAuth only grants us permission to place and close trades. We cannot view your account balance, withdraw money, or transfer funds. You authenticate directly with Tradovate — we never see your password. You can disconnect us instantly from your Tradovate account settings.

Is my data secure?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We use industry-standard security: OAuth 2.0 (you log in directly with Tradovate, not us), 256-bit encryption (all data encrypted in transit and at rest), token-based auth (we store only authentication tokens, which you can revoke anytime), and no credential storage (we never see or store your broker password).

What is your refund policy?

7-day free trial with no charge if you cancel within 7 days. Monthly subscriptions have no refunds for partial months. Cancel anytime — subscription ends at period close with no further charges. We believe in our service, but trading signals are inherently speculative. We cannot guarantee profits or refund losses from trading.

Are you a registered Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA)?

No. QuantLogic.io operates as a publisher of standardized trading signals under CFTC Rule 4.14(a)(9), which provides an exemption from CTA registration for publishers who provide the same signals to all subscribers, do not direct or manage individual client accounts, and do not provide advice tailored to individual circumstances.
